Ariana Grande Blasts White House for Using ‘Bye’ in TikTok Video Promoting ICE Arrests: ‘F— ICE’
Ariana Grande Condemns White House Over ICE TikTok Video
Ariana Grande has publicly criticized the White House for using her song “Bye” in a TikTok video that promoted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests. The singer took to social media to express her outrage, writing, “F— ICE,” and demanding the administration stop using her music to support what she called “inherently violent” policies.
The video, posted on the official White House TikTok account, featured Grande’s track as background music while showing clips of ICE operations. Grande’s response was swift: “I have not and will never consent to my art being used for propaganda or to normalize cruelty.” She further stated that the administration’s actions were “disgusting” and that she “will be taking legal action” if the video is not removed.
This incident places Grande alongside other pop stars who have spoken out against ICE. Olivia Rodrigo previously used her platform to call for the abolition of ICE, while Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter have also publicly condemned the agency’s practices. Grande’s statement concluded with a call to action: “To anyone watching, know that this is not okay. Use your voice to stand against this.” The White House has not yet responded to the backlash.
