Academy Taps ‘Memento’ Producer Jennifer Todd for Governors Awards
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that Jennifer Todd, a former Producers Branch governor known for producing Memento, will produce the 17th Governors Awards. This marks her first time leading the event, succeeding Jennifer Fox, who had produced the ceremony for the past seven years.
The annual event, which honors lifetime achievement in film, will present Honorary Oscars to three distinguished figures:
- Glenn Close, the acclaimed actress
- Ridley Scott, legendary director of films like Blade Runner and Gladiator
- Floyd Norman, a pioneering animator
Additionally, the board will confer the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to producer Christine Vachon, recognizing her philanthropic contributions. The ceremony is expected to celebrate these icons’ enduring impact on cinema, with Todd bringing her extensive producing experience to the helm.
