Disney+’s Hit Korean Series ‘A Shop for Killers’ Sets Season 2 Premiere Date

Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun will return for Season 2 of the hit Korean action series A Shop for Killers, premiering July 22 on Disney+.

The new season introduces two Japanese stars joining the cast:

  • Hyunri, known for her role in All Your Faces,
  • Masaki Okada, a celebrated actor from Confessions and Silence.

They will portray a new pair of assassins, adding fresh tension and danger to the series. The show, based on a web novel, follows a young woman who inherits a mysterious shopping mall after her uncle’s death, only to discover it is a front for a deadly assassin network.

Season 1 was praised for its stylish action sequences and emotional depth, with Lee Dong-wook earning acclaim for his portrayal of the protective uncle. The upcoming season promises higher stakes and expanded world-building, including the introduction of the new assassins who will challenge the protagonists in unexpected ways.

Fans can expect the same blend of gritty violence and family drama that made the first season a global hit. Disney+ has not yet announced the exact number of episodes for Season 2, but production is underway to meet the July premiere date.
